Fall session - Ovtober 22-24, 2010, Toronto, Ontario
Participants attend two workshops. The timing of their participation in the second workshop will depend on their readiness to have a completed grant application and summary statement reviewed. Workshops are held in the Spring and Fall.

Objective: To provide young clinical investigators an opportunity to mentor and work with experienced clinical investigators to assist them in securing funding.

Workshop Program:
Phase 1 Workshop - Issues in Clinical Research
- Lectures/workshops on Methodological Issues and Statistics
- Office hours with faculty
- Evening Talk: Career issues including networking
- Depart afternoon of second day
Phase 2 Workshop - Review of completed proposals - Mock Study Section
- Mock Study Section with an emphasis on the most common complaints
- Small Workshops to review study section comments, "pink sheets"
- Office hours with faculty
- Lectures on Promotions (Demystifying the promotions process), time management, and employee management.
- Participants should have prepared a grant to submit to NIH/CIHR or for industry funding.
- Grants reviewed by referees before the meeting to maximize feedback.
