Safe Accessible Playgrounds
The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons builds safe, accessible playgrounds.
Orthopaedic Surgeons are committed to building safe, accessible playgrounds in every city hosting its Annual Meeting during the Bone and Joint Decade. This activity leaves a legacy of playgrounds where children with and without disabilities can play safely together.
The Academy has built and donated safe, accessible playgrounds for children at Reverchon Park in Dallas, Texas, Coyote Point Recreation Center in San Mateo, California and Magnolia School in Orlando, Florida, and New Orleans.
